This is a competence based assessment & verification service for the CILT’s qualifications:

This service starts with an Initial Competence Analysis (ICA) which enables the objective assessment of individual levels of skills and competence, taking account of APEL. The outcome of the initial assessment determines which specific qualification the applicant is most suitable for and how the programme will be delivered i.e. by workplace assessment or electronically (E-assessment & Learning route).

We adopt the latest best practice means of assessment and verification, including the use of Electronic Portfolios for all programmes and Professional Discussion in Workplace Assessment.

All CILT candidates have available to them a comprehensive on-line library of supporting documentation in electronic format. This includes Model Form Templates for the CERTIFICATE Core Unit Project and PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA Core Unit Business Case, which have to be submitted to CILT for Independent Assessment. These Templates are recommended by CILT to Centres to facilitate the Independent Assessment process.
