- Initial Competence Assessment
- Workplace Assessment
- Professional Discussion
- Knowledge & Learning Development support

E-Assessment – all our programmes can now be completed electronically. This is particularly suitable for those Learners who are working remotely and cannot be visited by a workplace assessor. The Learner is provided with an allocated Tutor/Assessor (contactable by Email) and supporting E-Assessment & Learning Materials. The Tutor/Assessor is always on hand, by telephone or Email, to provide on-going support, advice & direction for the duration of the programme.
Electronic Portfolios – GRWBL’s E-portfolio is easy to use, fully compatible with systems used by Learners and avoids the mountain of paperwork usually associated with NVQs.
On line web site support - When you register for a Logistics Qualification programme, you are allocated a User ID and password for the E-LEARNING CENTRE on this web site which gives you access to the on-line library of supporting resources, including
- Learning Materials
- Reading Lists
- User Guides
- Model Portfolios
- Case Studies
The Initial Competence Assessment is a skills profile/gap analysis and APEL (Accreditation of Prior experience & learning) assessment which determines which Level of qualification you are suitable for and which choice of optional units best fits your skills profile.
Workplace Assessment means that your allocated Assessor assesses you undertaking your day to day work activities, thus reducing the amount of product evidence that you have to generate.
Professional Discussion is used in Level 5 and Level 6 programmes where the Learner has extensive Logistics management experience and is working at a strategic level in the organisation. The GRWBL Assessor initially advises on any APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experience & Learning) evidence arising from:
- relevant job experience
- attendance on accredited training courses
- completion of Professional Institute examinations
The balance of the qualification is completed on the basis of a planned and structured professional interview in the workplace. This interview is usually recorded on audio tape and submitted as the performance evidence.
Knowledge & Learning Development support
To assist those Learners who have completed a Level 3 qualification and wish to progress to Level 5, but do not initially have the scope of job activities to cover all the Level 5 requirements, GRWBL has designed an ACCREDITATION OF LEARNING ROUTE.
The Learner is provided with an allocated Tutor and supporting Learning Materials. Evidence is provided through the completion of Assignments.
This programme can also be delivered in-company for Groups of 4 or more using a series of Knowledge Workshops.

APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experience & Learning) is a process where a qualified GRWBL Assessor reviews evidence arising from:

The output from this review is a Profile which maps coverage against the performance & knowledge outcomes in the CILT qualifications & standards and confirms any gap areas which have to be covered by other means.

The Advanced Diploma is a VRQ (Vocationally Related Qualification ) which is set at Level 6 in the NQF (National Qualification Framework). The Advanced Diploma qualification requires candidates to evidence and/or develop strategic awareness and understanding in Logistics & Transport.
The CILT(UK) Advanced Diploma comprises 6 Mandatory Units in Logistics & Transport: 4 single units and a double research unit (Unit 5). Details of the Advanced Diploma Units & structure are available from the following web site address: http://www.grwbuylines.com/files/course/ciltad.pdf

Q7. Can I achieve a European Accredited Qualification ?
European Logistician accreditation and certification is available to Learners who achieve the CILT Certificate, Professional Diploma and Advanced Diploma with GRWBL.
Certification is by the European Certification Board for Logistics (ECBL), which is part of the European Logistics Association (ELA); CILT(UK) is a member of ELA.
The CILT qualifications have been mapped against the ELA standards and, dependant on the Units covered, Learners can be exempted against an ELA qualification, generally as follows:
EMLog - Certified European Logistician Master Level (equivalent to the CILT(UK)’s Advanced Diploma in Logistics)
ESLog - Certified European Logistician Senior Level (equivalent to the CILT(UK)’s Professional Diploma)
EJLog - Certified European Logistician Junior Level (equivalent to the CILT(UK)’s Certificate)
On completion of the CILT qualification, GRWBL guides its Learners through the application process with CILT, which involves the payment of a Certification Fee to CILT.
