GRW Buy-Lines Ltd operates the Professional Development Assessment Service (PDAS) on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport [CILT(UK)]. PDAS is a CILT Approved Assessment Centre which offers experienced practitioners the opportunity to demonstrate their competence against the CILT Qualifications Standards, based on accreditation of prior learning and/or assessment and verification in the workplace. This contributes to individual personal development opportunities and enables individuals to gain a professional qualification from CILT(UK). PDAS is an Approved Provider under the MOD's Enhanced Learning Credit Scheme (ELC) for Logistics Qualifications at Level 3 and above. (Provider No. 2441)
All PDAS Assessors and Verifiers are experienced logistics practitioners,
with professional qualifications and membership of CILT(UK).
Logistics QualificationsThis is a competence based assessment & verification service for the CILT’s qualifications:
This
service starts with an Initial Competence Analysis (ICA) which enables
the objective assessment of individual levels of skills and competence,
taking account of prior training and experience. The outcome of
the initial assessment determines which specific qualification the
applicant is most suitable for and how the individual is required
to provide evidence to confirm competence. PDAS adopts the latest best practice means of assessment and verification, including the use of Electronic Portfolios and Professional Discussion. All PDAS candidates have available to them a comprehensive on-line library of supporting documentation in electronic format. This includes Model Form Templates for the CERTIFICATE Core Unit Project and PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA Core Unit Business Case, which have to be submitted to CILT for Independent Assessment. These Templates are recommended by CILT to Centres to facilitate the Independent Assessment process.
